LASER TATTOO REMOVAL

Rachel is level 5 qualified and insured laser practitioner using Q-Switch Pico ND:YAG Laser.

Full consultation and patch test is £15 and this must be carried out first to assess suitability. Please contact Rachel here and she will be more than happy to help and discuss further.

To avoid disappointment, please read below for a list of contra-indications.

Please note: The prices above are an estimate. The accurate price will depend on size and colours, which will be discussed on consultation.

You are NOT able to have laser removal if any of the following contra-indications applies to you:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Diabetes type 1 and 2 on medications

  • Implants, metal plates or pacemakers

  • Autoimmune diseases

  • Blood thinning anticoagulants such as Warfarin, Heparin, Clexane, Dabigatron.

  • Blood thinning medications - high doses of Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Diclofenac. 

  • Haemophilia / any bleeding abnormalities

  • Keloid scarring

  • Vitiligo or any skin pigmentation problem

  • Psoriasis or eczema (on treatment area)

  • Sunburn

  • UV exposure from sunbathing or sunbeds (you must wait 4 weeks before starting your treatment and you cannot sunbath or use sunbeds during the course of your treatment)

  • Recent use of Roaccutane (within the last 3 months)

  • Previous tattoo removal allergic reaction

  • Liver disease such as Hepatitis A, B, C

  • HIV 

  • Acute or chronic kidney disease

  • Cancer

  • Chemotherapy or radiotherapy

  • Photodynamic therapy (PDT) for Cancer

Other medical conditions that will require a doctor's letter to confirm the treatment is suitable before treatments can begin:

  • Epilepsy

  • Transplant Anti-Rejection drugs

  • Thyroid disease

  • Heart disease

  • Hypertension (high blood pressure treated with medication)

  • Cancer (after 12 months)

Things on the list below will require a waiting period before you can start treatment:

  • Active herpes simplex (cold sores) must wait 2 weeks until healed and use anti-vrial mediciation a few days before and to be continued for a week after treatment.

  • UV exposure from sunbathing or sunbeds - you must wait 4 weeks before treatment and you cannot sunbathe or use sunbeds during your course of treatment.

  • Chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or radio frequency - you must wait 4 weeks before starting treatment and do not have these treatments in the area during your course.

  • Medical chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser skin resurfacing, or face lift at site of treatment, you must wait 6 months before starting treatment and do not have in the area treated during your course of treatment.

  • Herbal remedies - Fever Few or St John's Wort - must stop 4 weeks before as they are photosensitising which may burn the skin.

  • Anti-inflammatory pain relief drugs such as Ibuprofen or Aspirin - must wait 1-2 weeks to allow it to clear from your system.

  • Prescribed drug for a short term by GP / Hospital - must wait 6 weeks to allow the drugs to completely clear from your system. If long term, you must obtain a letter of authorisation by your GP. (As long as the medications are not contra-indicated).
